RV Glass is a little more complicated to identify. We often need to ask a lot more questions when compared to a high volume production car or truck. When it comes to a passenger vehicle or a transportation vehicle usually all we need to know is the year, make and model. We also need to know if you have accessories attached to the windshield such as; Rain Sensor, Heads Up Display, electrochromic rearview mirror, Lane Departure Warning system. These are fairly simple but for an RV we ask a lot more questions.

RVs of the 70’s 80’s and 90’s can change year-to-year or within a year. They are sometimes customized so, the glass can be hard to identify. Please answer all our questions. RV glass often cannot be returned so if the questions are omitted or incorrect the glass you buy may not fit your RV. Asa Auto Glass installer we need to know the; Year, Make and Model then the Numbers on windshield, Glass Manufacturer and if available DOT Numbers.  Recreation Vehicle glass needs to be measured (in the centre of the windscreen not at the edges). Some RVs have two pieces of glass while others have one. We will need which of the attributes your windshield has; Shade, Ceramic surround and/or windshield frit design or Dot Matrix.

Remember a picture can say 1000 words. submitting a photo of the front view and the windshield stamp can be very telling. Place a piece of white paper behind the windshield so the numbers show up better.
