Windshield Damage

Windshield damage can occur at any time of year and on any windshield. This week we had a brand new vehicle in for a stone chip repair, they got the damage leaving the dealership. What they did not know was that there was also a crack.

the long windshield crack was next to the rear view mirror beside the Lane Departure Warning System Camera. The casement around the LDWS blocked the driver from seeing the damage. The damage splintered the glass creating multiple cracks. the glass was pulverised and with multiple long cracks it was unfortunately – beyond repair.

At Crackmasters 105 Ave we can repair straight or slightly curved long windshield cracks that are up to 20 inches long on quality windshields (we will not repair long cracks on budget windshields).  

NOTE:

• If the crack/chip grows within 90 days then, the money spent on the repair can be put towards a windshield replacement on that vehicle/windshield. Repairs on budget glass do not qualify for any warranty.
• I will not repair long windshield cracks on budget glass.
• Cracks under 10 inches come with a warranty. (longer than 10 inches do not include a warranty)
• Cracks that are straight come with a warranty. (some, curved or angled cracks do not include a warranty)
• A windshield repair is less visible, not invisible. It is like a scar on your skin: while you can see a scar the bleeding should stop.
